Sam sent the client's files to a personal inbox to finish them at the weekend. By Monday, the files lived in three places the business didn't control.

Sam asked the question already half-knowing the answer. One send had given the files three new homes.

11:20 AM. Monday.

Sam had a question, and the way they asked it made it clear they already half-knew the answer.

"On Friday I emailed the brand-refresh files to my personal account, so I could finish the guidelines at home. Is that a problem?"

An email Sam sent from work to a personal address on Friday evening, attaching the brand guidelines and logo pack to finish at the weekend.

It had been a good weekend's work. The guidelines were finished, Maya would have them a day early, and the files had felt perfectly safe in an inbox only Sam used.

Nina didn't answer straight away. She asked a question back. "Where are the files now?"
