Identity Under Attack, episode 17: The Rule That Made Reporting Easy. Fragment 17, the report.

The click took one second. The silence afterwards took two days, and it was the silence that worried Nina.

4:30 PM. Thursday.

Aarav had been carrying it around for two days. On Tuesday morning, a text on his work phone said a parcel was on hold and the address needed confirming. He was expecting a parcel. He tapped the link.

A text message saying a parcel is on hold because the address is incomplete, asking the reader to confirm through a link within 24 hours.

The page looked like a delivery site, and it wanted him to sign in with his email. He typed two letters, felt something was off, and closed the browser. Nothing seemed to happen.

He told himself it was fine. He was the new one, the one who asked the obvious questions. He did not want to also be the one who tapped the obvious link.

So he said nothing. Then, on Thursday afternoon, Jordan mentioned that two freelancers had received the same text.
