The Code That Wasn't for Sharing

The message called itself the game team. The code on Riya's phone told a different story.

Thursday evening. Dev was washing up, Tara was doing maths homework on the rug, and Riya's phone buzzed on the arm of the sofa: a login code for Arjun's game account. Since last week, her phone had been the account's spare key.

Nobody was signing in. Arjun was right there, already playing.

Half a minute later he looked up from the tablet with a frown. A message in the game chat, from an account calling itself the support team, said a code had just been sent to a grown-up's phone, and asked him to reply with it to prove the account was his.
