THE LAST FILE · EPISODE 19

Ten Employees. Ten Different Habits.

The Last File, episode 19: Ten Employees. Ten Different Habits.. 09:14 Monday. Jordan's desk, one question in chat.

9:14 AM. Monday.

Northstar Studio had hired two new designers in the same week. For the first time, the office felt slightly too small.

Jordan Blake had promised Rachel Kim the approved Brightline packaging artwork by ten. He'd meant to send it on Friday.

He typed into the team chat: “Quick one. Where's the final Brightline packaging file?”

The answers arrived within a minute.

Evidence 01: the team chat. Four replies to one question, each pointing to a different place.

Daniel said it was on his desktop and he'd send it over. One new designer said she had a copy in her Downloads. The other said it was in his email somewhere. Maya said it was in the shared drive, in the Approved folder.

Four answers. Four people trying to help.

Priya Sharma read the thread over Jordan's shoulder. Months ago, she had set up that Approved folder for exactly this moment.

So why did only one person in four seem to know it existed?
