THE LAST FILE ยท EPISODE 11

The Client Who Asked One Simple Question

Rachel Kim wanted to know what happens to Brightline's files after they arrive. Alex's first answer sounded great. Two lines of it weren't true.

The Last File, episode 11: The Client Who Asked One Simple Question. 09:20 Tuesday. A reply to Rachel, still unsent.

9:20 AM. Tuesday.

Alex had deleted his first sentence three times.

Rachel Kim's question sat at the top of the screen. How do you protect the information we share with you? Where does it go, and who sees it?

Rachel was the client who had called on a Tuesday afternoon a few weeks ago, to ask why Brightline Foods had received another company's confidential file. She had been calm about it. Fair. She hadn't threatened anything. She had simply remembered.

Now Brightline was about to send its plans for next year's product launches. Of course she was asking.

Alex typed fast this time, the way he wrote proposals. Five confident sentences about security, care and trust. It read well. It sounded like a company that had everything handled.

He asked Priya to read it before he sent it.

She read it once, slowly. Then she pointed at the fourth sentence.

"Is that true?"
