The Folder Called Final_Final_Real

Nineteen minutes before a client delivery, Maya spotted a shade of blue the client had rejected two rounds ago.

1:31 PM. Wednesday.

The brand book was due to the client at 2:00.

Jordan Blake had been Northstar's account manager for six weeks, and this was his first big delivery on a project he hadn't started. The client had been patient. Jordan wanted to be early.

He opened the project area and found four candidates.

One called Brand_Book_FINAL in the delivery folder. Two more inside Final_Final_Real, the folder nobody had claimed. And the client's own copy, attached to an email thread with 31 replies.

Jordan did what most people would do. He sorted by date and picked the newest one, modified that morning.

He attached it, wrote a warm note, and asked Maya for a quick look before he pressed send. It was a habit the studio had picked up after the wrong-attachment scare.

Maya scrolled to page four and stopped.

"Jordan. Didn't they reject this blue?"
